Equine Influenza Assistance - 2007
Assistance for people and businesses facing additional costs and significant financial hardship, as a direct result of the Equine Influenza quarantine measures currently in place. Payments are available for workers involved in commercial horse-dependent industries and grants for businesses and non-government and not-for-profit equestrian organisations.
Queensland Storms and Floods Assistance (from 13 January 2008)
Given the devastation caused by the storms and associated flooding that began on 13 January 2008 in the Mackay and Whitsunday region and continued to affect other areas of Queensland, the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) has been activated to assist people who have been adversely affected by the disaster.

Centrelink information about payments, services and publications for people who are in a crisis situation, for example: suddenly become homeless, experience a natural disaster or domestic violence, are released from prison or experience family problems.
