The Australian Government Envirofund (the Envirofund) is a funding programme that helps local communities undertake important on-ground environmental activities. It supports community groups and individuals to undertake small projects aimed at conserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable natural resource use.

Caring for our Country
Caring for our Country is the Government's new natural resource management initiative. It commenced on 1 July 2008 and aims to integrate delivery of the Commonwealth's previous natural resource management programs, the Natural Heritage Trust, the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality, the National Landcare Program, the Environmental Stewardship Program and the Working on Country Indigenous land and environmental program.

Threatened Species Network Community Grants assists groups to conduct conservation activities. The Threatened Species Network (TSN) is a partnership between WWF-Australia and the Australian Government which works with the community to stop plants and animals from disappearing.
