Australia's National Greenhouse Accounts
Australia's National Greenhouse Accounts provide greenhouse gas emission estimates for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and for tracking Australia's progress towards its internationally agreed target of limiting emissions to 108% of 1990 levels over the period 2008-2012.
Department of Climate Change
The Department of Climate Change delivers programmes under the Australian Government's climate change strategy.
National Carbon Accounting System (NCAS)
The National Carbon Accounting System tracks emissions (sources) and removals (sinks) of greenhouse gases from Australian land based systems. The system underpins National Greenhouse Gas Inventory reporting, and provides a basis for emissions projections to assess progress towards meeting Australia's emissions target.
National Pollutant Inventory (NPI)
The National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) - Australia's national public database of pollutant emissions - is an internet database designed to provide the community, industry and government with information on the types and amounts of certain chemicals being emitted to the environment.
State of the Environment (SoE) Reporting
National SoE reports provide information about environmental and heritage conditions, trends and pressures for the Australian continent, surrounding seas and Australia's external territories.
