This document provides Commonwealth agencies with a set of guidelines for keeping records of web-based activity. The purpose of the guidelines is to help Commonwealth agencies determine and implement appropriate strategies for creating, capturing, managing and retaining records of web-based activity for as long as they are required.

General Disposal Authorities
The National Archives prepares and issues general disposal authorities and these are available for use by every Australian Government agency. This page has links to the current set of General Disposal Authorities.
Information Management Framework
An information management framework comprises policies, procedures and systems to enable the strategic management of information. An agency's information management framework can be assessed and enhanced by using Check-up, a National Archives tool for assessing an agency's information and records management.
