ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation's function is to provide radio and television services within Australia and overseas and to promote Australia's musical, dramatic and other performing arts. Established on 1 July 1983 by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Act 1983, the Corporation had previously operated as the Australian Broadcasting Commission since 1 July 1932.

Broadcasting
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) regulates broadcasting services in Australia. This includes planning the radiofrequency spectrum that radio and television services use; issuing and renewing licences to broadcasters; administering commercial ownership and control rules to maintain media diversity, developing program standards or licence conditions on specific issues; and supporting the development of codes of practice for the industry.
Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF)
The Community Broadcasting Foundation is an independent, non-profit funding body. The primary aim of the organisation is to act as a funding agency that solicits and disburses funds for the development of community broadcasting in Australia. The Government distributes the funds through the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts. Funding for Aboriginal development grants is received from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission.
