The National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre (NBOCC) and Cancer Australia amalgamated in July 2011 to form a single national agency to provide leadership in cancer control and improve outcomes for Australians affected by cancer. Cancer Australia works to reduce the impact of cancer and improve the well being of those diagnosed by ensuring that evidence informs cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment and supportive care.
