Can I find Australian Government services on a map?

Yes. You can search maps on australia.gov.au by entering in a location (a ‘where’) and an agency (a ‘what’). Locations can take the form of a postcode, suburb or both.

If there is more than one match for your suburb, you will be asked to refine your search further from a list of matching suburbs. Only Australian suburbs and postcodes are supported.

When one or more result has been found near your location, the agency location(s) will be displayed on the left-hand side of the map, along with each location’s address and opening hours. Two additional links are provided with each result:

  • ‘Zoom to Here’ will cause the map to zoom to and centre on the matching result
  • ‘Show on Map’ will cause a light-blue circle to appear in the map above the matching result

The matching locations will also appear as clickable ‘pins’ on the map. Clicking one of these pins will display the location’s name, address, and opening hours.
