The publication I am looking for is only available from a library. How can I get a copy?
If the publication you are looking for is only available from a library and none of the libraries holding the publication is easily accessible to you, you can ask your local library if they are able to arrange a inter-library loan for the publication.
Another option is the National Library of Australia Copies Direct Service. This service provides copies of books, articles, chapters of books, photographs, pictures, maps, etc. under the provisions of the Australian Copyright Act 1968 .
You may also be able to acquire out of print publications through second hand book dealers. There are many used book dealers online and a number of meta-search sites that search across numbers of used book dealers.

I want to purchase a copy of a book published by the AGPS
The Australian Government Publishing Service ceased to exist in 1997 and unless stocks were retained by the author agencies or the titles were later republished by those agencies, titles published by the AGPS or the AGPS Press are no longer in print.
You may be able to acquire out of print publications through second hand book dealers. There are many used book dealers online and a number of meta-search sites that search across numbers of used book dealers.

How can I find older Commonwealth of Australia gazettes?
If the gazette you are looking for is older and not listed on one of the current gazette websites, you can find libraries where you can access older issues.
GovPubs: the Australian Government Publications Guide is a guide to selected types of Australian government publications, such as acts, hansards, gazettes and parliamentary papers, located in Australia's national, state and territory libraries.
Its Gazettes page lists the various series of gazettes published since 1901. Choosing the relevant series will allow you to locate a copy in your nearest library. Alternately, the National Library of Australia (NLA) holds copies of all gazettes and operates a Copies Direct service where you can order copies of articles, documents, photographs, maps, etc.
