Enrolling to vote

Service Description

To enrol to vote for the first time or to update your enrolment details, you need to complete an electoral enrolment form and return it to the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

By completing the one form, you will be enrolled to vote in federal, state/territory and local government elections.

Enrol today in just three easy steps:

  1. Open the online enrolment form.
  2. Complete the form, print it and sign it.
  3. Return the form to the AEC.

Alternatively, paper enrolment forms are available from AEC offices, Australia Post, Medicare or Centrelink.

You will not be enrolled until AEC has received your printed and signed enrolment form.
