Service Description

Find information about species and ecological communities listed under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). The Species Profile and Threats database contains information on what the species looks like, its population and distribution, habitat, movements, feeding, reproduction and taxonomic comments.

Searches can be made via either common or scientific names.

An advanced search and reports function allows you to download lists of EPBC threatened species by category and state/territory.
