Traffic infringement notice - online payment [ACT]
Service Description
If you have been issued with a traffic infringement notice for an offence that occurred in the ACT, you have 28 days from the date of service to:
- pay your traffic fine
- request more time to pay
- dispute the notice
- request more time to dispute
- apply for withdrawal of the notice
- complain about the traffic infringement
Note: If you wish to dispute a Parking Infringement Notice, you must contact the Parking Review Office via:

ACT Traffic Infringements, such as parking, speed and red light camera fines and other vehicle/traffic related offences, can be paid online. If you wish to pay online, it is recommended that you pay your fine at least 4 days prior to the due date.
Alternatively, you can make a payment in person at the Canberra Connect Shopfronts, the Dickson Motor Registry, or an Australia Post office.
Payment must be made within 28 days of the Date of Service of the notice. If you fail to pay the penalty within 28 days a reminder notice will be issued for payment of the penalty, plus an additional administrative charge.
What is needed to use this service?
To make an online payment for a traffic infringement, you will need the Infringement Notice Number.
