Apply for an Australian adult passport

Australian passports are issued only to Australian citizens. Passport application forms are available online and from most Australia Post outlets. The Australian Passport Office aims to post out your passport within 10 working days of receiving all required information and documentation. You should allow extra time for Australia Post outlets to forward your application to a passport office. If you are in Australia and need your passport in a hurry, you may qualify to lodge your form directly with a Passport Office. If you are overseas, contact your nearest Australian mission.

Lost or stolen passport – Online reporting

You can report your Australian passport lost or stolen online. This should be done as soon as practicable. To use this service, you must know your passport number. You will be required to confirm your identity, and then asked about the circumstances of the loss. If you wish to replace your passport at this time, you can also complete the appropriate passport application form online.

Renew an Australian adult passport
