Crisis payments and allowances

Australian government disaster recovery payment

The Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment has been activated to provide financial assistance to people who have been affected by Tropical Cyclone Yasi and the Queensland, New South Wales and Victorian floods. The payment is also available to people who have been adversely affected by the Western Australia bushfires that occurred in February 2011.
