Disability payments and allowances
Carer Allowance is a supplementary payment available for parents or carers who provide additional daily care to an adult or child with a disability or medical condition or someone who is frail aged.
Carer Payment can provide financial support if you are unable to work in substantial paid employment because you are providing full time care to a child or adult with a severe disability or medical condition or someone who is frail aged.
Mobility Allowance helps people who have a disability, illness or injury participate in approved activities. The allowance helps with the transport costs for those who cannot use public transport, permanently or for an extended period, without assistance.
Sickness Allowance is a short-term payment for people who are employed but who temporarily cannot work or study because of a medical condition. In some cases full-time students can also get Sickness Allowance.
