The Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) provides economic analysis, research and statistics on transport issues and issues affecting regional Australia, with the purpose of informing both Australian Government policy development and wider community understanding.

The Major Project Facilitation program is a free facilitation service administered by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government. Eligible significant strategic projects across industry may be granted MPF status.
