Health services for people with disabilities
Australian Hearing provides hearing rehabilitation services and hearing aids to children and adults with complex hearing problems. It competes with private service providers under the Voucher Scheme administered by the Office of Hearing Services for the provision of hearing rehabilitation services and hearing aids, hearing impaired age pensioners and eligible veterans. It conducts hearing related research via its research division (the National Acoustic Laboratories).
Delivers vocational rehabilitation services to Australian citizens or residents who have an injury, disability or health condition and assists people to get a job or return to their job. This service is free to people receiving income support payments from Centrelink.
Programs and services and benefits and payments that support people with disabilities and their families and carers. Further support is provided through grants and funding for organisations delivering services for people with disability.

The Disability Policy & Research Working Group (DPRWG) is a standing committee of the Standing Council on Community and Disability Services Advisory Council (SCCDSAC). It comprises members from Australian, State and Territory Governments disability agencies. This website contains information about the work of the DPRWG, and provides a forum for sharing information and publications about important issues in the disability sector.
